Rare Elvis Pink Record! One Of 25 Known Copies

  

Mega rare pink vinyl, only 25 known copies exist! As you know, I have been helping my friend Steve Black part with his Elvis memorabilia collection. Here is a fried record from his collection. He has relayed the following information to me.

In August of 2007, for the 30th anniversary of Elvis's passing, Sony/RCA produced 1,000 promotional copies of Elvis Presley rock and roll number one and Elvis Presley rock and roll number two. These 10-in long playing albums where manufactured in blue, green, black, yellow, white, and pink vinyl.

They were produced on the original gorgeous His Master's Voice label. These two albums were Elvis's first to LPs released exclusively in Great Britain in the 1950s. At that time RCA was being distributed by Decca. These LPs, as well as his two extended plays and first singles on the HMV label are Europe's version of our son records releases in both rarity and audio quality. In August of 2007, Sony/RCA produced a limited edition set of 30 paper sleeve CDs that replicated the original American artwork.

They then held a random drawing, and 1000 lucky fans would receive one of the LP titles in one of the vinyl variations describe above. The pink version, which was produced to match the pink riding on Elvis's legendary first album, being the real prize, as only 25 copies for each title were pressed. The astounding thing is that Sony/RCA used the pure original mono tapes, creating the most amazing audio examples ever for these legendary recordings. As you can see, the record and sleeve are in amazing shape!
