Original Alfred Wertheimer Signed Elvis Presley Photograph 1956 RARE

  
This original Alfred Wertheimer signed black and white photograph of Elvis is one of the crown jewels of the spectacular Elvis collection we obtained from a single Elvis and rock music collector. Wertheimer, a German-born Brooklyn resident and freelance photographer, landed the assignment of photographing Elvis in 1956 -- just before and as Elvis exploded to stardom. He would spend some 10 days with Elvis over the next two years, shooting approximately 2,500 photographs. His work with Elvis captured an intimacy that other photographers did not have the skill or access to create. This framed photograph measures a total height of 25 inches tall by 19 inches wide. The details of the photograph are on the back. Note that we can not show a complete picture of the back as it also contains personal information of the person who first bought the photo and gave it to the then-New York resident whose estate we obtained it from. We respect the family's wish for privacy. Note that we had listed this before at various prices. The price we have it listed at today is the lowest price we would be willing to let it go for. It's obviously one of our favorites and not something we're eager to part with. For this price, though, we would have to let it go. It is going to take us a very long time to list this collection.
