The story behind this record is sketchy, but it goes something like this. A company producing gold framed records was contracted to produce A Valentine Gift For You; however, gold vinyl with a gold 50th Anniversary label would not provide the best visual effect. In response to this, RCA pressed a very low quantity with the black label, as to provide the company producing gold framed records the better contrast against the gold vinyl.
